# Turn School Breaks Into Measurable BAS Performance Gains

##### Most districts waste break periods. The smartest ones use them to reduce energy costs, eliminate comfort complaints, and reset system performance for the entire semester.

## The Hidden Opportunity in Every School Break

When students leave campus, most facilities teams either:

- Shut systems down completely
- Or let them run in inefficient default modes

What rarely happens?

 Strategic BAS optimization.

As outlined in *The Post Break Optimization Opportunity,  *school breaks create the perfect low-risk window to:

- Remove hidden overrides
- Clear alarm floods
- Reset sequences and schedules
- Tune seasonal setpoints
- Stabilize systems before re-occupancy

What you do during break directly determines how smoothly your next semester will run.

## Stop Starting Every Semester in Crisis Mode

Startup chaos happens because:

- Overrides weren’t cleared
- Setpoints weren’t updated
- Dashboards weren’t prepared

Break optimization prevents that. It’s not about working harder. It’s about working systematically.
